We are not only having a steak cookoff, we are crowning the Virginia State Champion!!! Yes, you heard right, Chillin & Grillin In The Glades will be crowning the State Champion for Virginia! This steak grilling contest will take place on Friday, July 14th and is open to anyone with a grill and a desire to test your steak grilling skills.
We are putting up prize money totaling $2,000 plus trophies for the top ten Steak finishers in this contest, with the winner receiving $1,000 and a Golden Ticket Invitation to participate in the World Steak Championship in Ft. Worth, TX. The winner of the Ancillary contest will also receive a Golden ticket to the World Championship!

1st Place----------$1,000 1st Place----------$125
2nd Place----------$400 2nd Place----------$75
3rd Place-----------$250 3rd Place----------$50
4th Place----------$150 4th Place----------$25
5th Place------------$75 5th Place----------$25
6th - 10th Place---$25
You don’t even have to provide the steak you cook! We will provide you with two (2) choice grade ribeye steaks, which you will grill and turn one back in for judging. You keep the other steak to enjoy! All you have to do is submit an application, pay the $150 entry fee and show up with a grill on July 15th! Any type of grill can be used. Charcoal, propane gas, wood, electric, it doesn’t matter. This contest will be open to the first 40 participants, so hurry up and submit your application now!
We will also be holding an Ancillary contest on Friday evening. The category will be Anything with Bacon!
We have not left the kids out either! There will be an Kid's Cookoff on Friday evening as well! This will be open to any kid ages 4 to 12!
